The one thing they should never take off the menu.
-
THE BURGER at The Black Dog Tavern: Eight ounces of good ground angus beef. The Southwestern Burger with bacon, cheddar, crispy onion strings and the Dog of Black’s own bbq sauce makes for one mean protein fix. $9-$11.
-
ANYTHING WITH STEAK at Sharkey’s Cantina: Drop and roll. It’s all about the drop & roll...start with a pineapple margarita and then end with the Sizzlin’ Steak Fajitas. Girlfriend to girlfriend–here’s to the beef! $17.99.
-
THE EGG SANDWICH at The Scottish Bakehouse: Breakfast served all day. Our order: local eggs, spinach, tomato, avocado, raw onion, cheddar, hot sauce AND roasted garlic...now that’s a champ! Daniele’s kept the basic price sweet and low at $4.20. Extras up the ante.
-
THE KETTLE OF MUSSELS at Offshore Ale Co.: It’s all about dunking bread into that broth that teems with succulent Mytilus edulis. Use one empty shell to pluck out the rest. Sounds like ocean classroom but tastes like Island home. $13.95.
