What’s the secret to throwing the most fabulous party on Martha’s Vineyard? Is it dressing to the nines? (Or the 02539s?) While Jack Rogers and Lilly Pulitzer jump and jive on the dance floor, there’s more to a good party than attire. The secret? Tasty food. Spectacular shindigs serve fantastic food. The Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust knows this well. Take for example their annual Taste of the Vineyard event, which kicks off the summer each June. This year over 90 vendors represented restaurants, caterers, chocolatiers, wine merchants and microbreweries. Champagne and oysters, sliders and cupcakes, French macarons and Boston baked beans, from the fantastic to the sublime, the Taste has it all.
