- bucktail jig: fishing for striped bass from a beach or jetty
- fluke fishing rig: drift along bottom on sandy shoals, boat fishing for fluke
- deadly dick: all around lure for false albacore, bonito, bluefish
- robert’s ranger: reel along surface for bluefish
- hogy epoxy jig: similar to a deadly dick but flashier
- yo-zuri deep diver: for trolling behind a boat or casting into a deep channel
- squid jig: jig for squid from a jetty, dock, or from the beach
