Rice Milk

Health Benefits: Rice milk is a rich source of vitamin B-6 and iron.


  • 1/2 cup raw brown rice
  • 2 cups water
  • sea salt
  • liquid sweetener (honey, agave, maple syrup), optional

Cook the brown rice per the package instructions. Let cool. Using a blender, puree the rice with 2 cups water until smooth, about 2 minutes. Pass the mixture through 3 to 4 layers of cheesecloth or through a nut milk bag. Season rice milk with a pinch of sea salt and liquid sweetener to taste.

Yield: 3 cups
