Ginger Soy Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 6 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 scallions, minced
  • 1-3 jalapenos or other hot chilies, sliced crosswise as thinly as possible

Combine the lime juice, tamari or soy sauce, water, honey, garlic, ginger and scallions in a mixing bowl and whisk to mix. If the sauce tastes too strong, add a little more water. Transfer sauce to a bowl and float chili slices on top.

Yield: 1 cup
